Hey! Why don’t we decimate the English language?

See how stupid that sounds? But it’s true. That’s what everyone is contributing too. We are slowly crippling the English language, and soon, a proper essay will be full of meaningless “LOLs and LMAOs”. It’s getting to a point where people replace letters and keep it the same fucking length! I mean if you really feel the need to replace “you” with “u” then apart from the fact that you’re a moron, you at least have a reason for it. But it’s people who replace “you” with “yuu” or “yew” that I really don’t understand. You’re just being fucking retarded when you insist on writing like that.
Or when you stick a double letter there for the sake of it. “Yeahh ii’l bee there lyykk.” You sound as well as look like a kid with a severe case of Down syndrome. I usually see this when girls are replying to comments on Bebo or whatever shitty community they are using. Why do they do it? “to make it look pretty.” It doesn’t look pretty it looks horrible. I feel the need to smack people when they write like this. YOU ARE RETARDED! Spell normally for fucks sake.
I guess I’ll never truly understand why people feel the need to use chat speak in their conversations. It’s just another way of proving how fucking lazy we as a generation are. Most of us are too fucking lazy to press 2 more keys. Apart from the fact that this is depressing it’s just plain idiotic. It’s not going to kill you to spend a few seconds more writing a message in proper fucking English. And if it does kill you, well, you fucking deserved it.
It is a disgrace to the English language that we have developed into babbling morons that cannot spell just a sentence correctly. I’ve heard people say that when writing an English essay they have almost written “u” instead of “you”. This is just depressing. All this technology which is meant to improve our minds is slowly turning us into lazy, stupid people.
Easily my least favourite word in chat speak is “wot” or “wat”. You don’t pronounce it like that, so why do you feel the need to be a overly obnoxious jackass and use it? It looks and sounds stupid, which surprisingly enough reflects on the dickhead that wrote it.
“Huhhuh yehh, lolololll wot u meen?” Okay, anyone who writes like this is in major need of an emergency rectal broomstick removal procedure. Why do you feel the need to spell like fucking twats? Why can’t you use proper punctuation so that maybe we can preserve what little of the English language you know? Or are you too much of a lazy shit that you cannot be bothered to press a few extra fucking buttons?! Because if you are then you really have delved into a world of stupidity. Have fun, you’ll spend the rest of you pathetic life there, you fucking moron.

Questions That No One Answers

I’m creating a new site along the name of that title. I was going to create a graphics site which is what I have been talkng about, but I decided not to, as it involves too much hard work and dedication that I don’t hva eth patience for.
:)

Some Stuff

This will be a very long post, so be prepared. Theres’s lots of things I’ve been wanting to expres, so, here goes.

FIrst of all, Torrenting. I used to use LimeWire to get hold of songs, because I never knew I could get hold of anything else through the internet. I managed to teach myself and now use uTorrent and TPB. Simple fact to start with: Torrenting is amazing. I know people say it’s illegal, ya-da-ya-da-ya, but the fact is, it’s worth the risk. You can get so much from torrents. I’ve downloaded almost 100GB of stuff, and I’m downloading like 7 movies right now. The fact is, I know I can get away with it, so I’m doing it as much as I can before I have to go back to England and it becomes illegal.

Secondly, my phone is awesome. Very much to the point with that, but it’s true, my phone is the don of all phones. The iPhone is nice, and there are other phones that are really good, but my phone is the best. :) Sony Ericsson 910i. It rules. If you comment on this part of the post, I’ll ignore you.

Welcome back, Opera. I started to use FF for a while, but no matter how much I wanted to, I couldn’t go without Opera. It is the better browser. No matter what I’ve said, it is better than FF.

Maddox’s page made me laugh so much. If you haven’t read it yet, you’re missing out. http://maddox.xmission.com/ . Visit it. I love it how it’s so to the point and blatent.

Also, Euro 2008. It started in the 7th of June, and I’ve watched almost every game since. I’m pissed that England didn’t get through, so I’m supporting Turkey. I’l be surprised if they get thourgh the group stages, but I’m still hoping they do, so whatever.

There was something else I wanted to write about, but I’ve completely forgotten, so I don’t care.

And, finally, Capital Punishment, the death penalty for those that don’t know. I have mixed views on this. For the most part, I am for it, I think that for things like murder and rape, the person should be killed. However, I believe more in justice than anything. I don’t think that murderers should be killed straight away. My belief is that they should have too suffer. They’ve caused all this pain and suffering, so they too should have to suffer. The simple fact is, someone who has tortured people for their own sick fun, shouldn’t be allowed an easy way out from death. I think they should be put into those 23-hour lock down prisons. There should be nothing in the cell, except a bed and a bucket. They shouldn’t be allowed to a canteen, they should be given the ever so classic, bread and water.

And they should only be put to death if there is 100% undeniable proof. Nothing to do with forensics, or anything else to do with that bull shit. Something like a tape, recording, or along those lines that proove without a doubt that this person is guilty. And I don’t believe eye-witnesses should be accounted for. They can be bribed to tell the truth for fucks sake.

Well, that’s all I have to say. If I ad the energy I’d write more, but I don’t, so fuck off.

I’m Taking a Break from Opera

I’m switching to FireFox. ALthough I don’t like to admit it, FF is a good browser. I still don’t think it’s as good as Opera in many, many ways, but Opera has started to really piss me off. EVerytime I want to go to the second page in someone’s devART gallery, Opera crashes, and needs to be closed and steted up again. And there’s also this minor fact that doesn’t really help:

Opera Being Stupid

And that’s on a good day. It has gone above 227 before. And I’ve only got 11 tabs open, most of them doing nothing.  So yeah, I’m switching to FF 3 for a while, I may go back to Opera, but it depends on what FF is like.

DeviantART and Stuff

Right, so I only just noticed there was a problem with the blog, which shows how organised I am. I just thought my internet was being bitchingly slow, so I ignored it. But it’s fixed now, so we’re all smiles.

I’ve made myself a deviantART, (aren’t I clever) so visit it if you have the time, www.englishpenguin.deviantart.com. I’m uploading all of my art onto it, so it’d basically liek my portfolio, except I don’t have to deal with changing every picture eveytime I upload one, like I did with my old portfolio. And this one may actually get looked at… :)

I’m starting a new project, keeping the name secret, well, because I’m paranoid, but it’s the reason why there’s the “Graphics Site” link on the index. That reminds me, the index won’t be staying that way for long, it’s okay in my eyes, but it’s a bit tacky. I’m thinking about putting the index into my old portfolio layout, but I’ll consider that later.

NOt really much else to say, so whatever.

New Index

As you should have seen when you went to the site, a new idex has just been put up. I’ve been meaning to do this for ages, so I’m gald I finally got arund to it, it was really starting to annoy me.
You can ignore the Graphics Site for now, as it won’t be up for a long time, most probably, and it will look good when it is.
It may not be picture perfect, but hel, I like it, and it’s going to stay this way for a long time, hopefully, depending on how quickly I get bored of it.

Swimming Pool

I drew a swimming pool in Photoshop. I copied it from a tutorial, and I think it turned out quite well. During the day, when I have more energy, I’m going to make it more intresting.
So, here it is:

Ugh. Exams.

Into the beginning of our end of year exams, they don’t actually mean anything, but they’re meant to be like Mock GCSEs and all the questions we’ve had so far are from past papers so…
I finished paper 4 of my maths IGCSE a week ago monday, so realisticly I could give maths up. However, I’m going on to do A Level maths, yay…
This time next year I’ll be well into the rest of my GCSEs, at first it seemed all right, but now, after doing one, it’s different, it’s not what I expected…
The rest of my class except me and five others are doing the end of year maths tomorrow, so I get to sit that out. The only exam I have tomorrow is an ICT Practical. Sounds brilliant doesn’t it… :(

Cloverfield

There’s a high chance this contains spoilers.
Watched this movie last night. It’s about an alien attack, and it’s all filmed as if a guy is recording it through a video camera as they go by. Pretty much everyone dies. Kind of depressing really. It’s special effects are good, and it’s very realisticly filmed. It’s produced by the same guy as Lost, so that’s partially what drew me to it. It’s only around an hour long, which is rather diferent compared to other movies. But there’s only so much you could do with that story line. The ending was shit though. The guy called Rob picks up the camera, talks to it, then there’s an explosion, I guess he dies, and that’s it. BUt the movie starts off as though someone else is watching it. It’s hard to explain. I wouldn’t really recommend it, but it’s not the worst film I’ve seen.

The Browser

I use Opera, just to start that up. I used to use IE, mainly becuase, I didn’t know others existed. UNtil I went to RSBandB, but that’s a different story.
I’ve come across this new browser, mainly by mistake, and I’m downloading it now. It claims to be the fastest browser avalible. It’s called Avant.
I’ve just opened it up now. IT’s quite good, it goes through a few things like where would you like your tabs, and then you get into it.
You’d be surprised to find it’s much like every other browser.
Ah, it’s always good when Windows wants to block an Internet Browser from accessing the internet. Not the greatest sign.
It’s copied over my history from Opera and I’d gather whatever other browser I would have on my computer which is quite clever.
At first look, I don’t think you can get customizable skins. If you right click, you’re given a bunch of options on what skins you can choose from. BUt as far as I can tell, you can download custom made ones.
Okay. Honestly, it’s pretty fast. I typed in the first thing I could think of in google and it popped up. Not so fast with my blog, but every browser’s like that with the first time loading.
Okay, this I don’t like. When you press Ctrl+T, it should open up a new tab. Which, it does, but it’s a replica of the one you just have open. Unlike other browsers which presnt you with a blank page or speed dial. I guess this one’s unique…
It’ pretty quick when opening up another page that it’s opened before. So I’ll give it that.
Oh, wow. I start to type in my blog name again, and it pops up straight away, as soon as I click enter. Rather eerie, really. I’m going to close it and open it again to see the speed on it.
Also, it remembers the tabs if you want it to.
It’s a fast browser. As fast as Opera? Not likely. xD, but still I prefer it to FireFox. Granted I usually prefer to set my self alight than use FireFox.
It’s a nice browser. I’m not going to use it, but it’s there to use.
:)
Also, forgot to say. It has a feature that when you go to click the X button, to the right of it is another one, that minimizes it to the start bar, in the items on the right, so you can open it quickly, without it being in the way. And it’s good if you want to shut it quickly if you’re doing something you’re not supposed to, and still keep the tabs there. Granted, I’d prefer it if the X button was where it’s meant to be.
I just ran the Acid2 test in Avant… It looks like the browser just threw up.
